About Tararua Piano
Located in the lovely rural town of Pahiatua, Tararua Piano offers Piano and Keyboard Lessons to students of all ages.
Lessons are held at the studio situated at 81677 State Highway 2 and/or at Tararua College for College aged Children. Online Lessons are also available for those unable to attend in person
♪ Lessons are tailored to individual abilities and aspirations and take a fun and creative approach to learning to play the piano.
♪ A variety of musical styles and approaches are used including:
- Familiar and fun pieces
- Pop, chords and lead sheets
- Music from the great composers
- Modern music from current composers.
♪ Lessons are designed with the individual student in mind and offer a complete and holistic approach to learning.
♪ From the first lessons you will learn to play music, learn great technique and over time become comfortable with learning the language of music.
♪ And of course the best part of learning to play is to be able to show friends and family all the wonderful songs you have learnt.

About Stephanie
I grew up surrounded by a musical family and discovered the piano on holiday when I was 10 years old at my grandparents house. Once I started to play, I couldn't stop and taught myself from an old book found in my Grandma's piano stool. At that point my parents decided I needed to have lessons. Having dabbled with other instruments I have always come back to the piano, it has always been my first love.
I opened Tararua Piano in 2015 after taking a break for many years. I am passionate about sharing my love for music and piano with those in my community. Students of all ages and abilities are welcome to learn. If you are even slightly curious about learning how to play the piano, I invite you to come visit the studio for a free welcome lesson!
